The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) is a unique school developed to provide short-term continuing education and career training programs which enable participants to apply their learning toward personal fulfillment, professional advancement and career development in the hospitality industry
Delivering the Mission
TISOH’s course content, for each certificate offering, is predominantly task-oriented and practical, so as to parallel the duties and responsibilities of industry incumbents. Instruction consists of training individuals using hands-on approaches that are applicable to specific industry jobs and professions, as opposed to some traditional degree-focused pedagogical methods. Quality service and professionalism, consistent with the work performance standards expected by hospitality employers, are key ingredients of the training provided. In the process of offering these courses, staff members as well as contracted industry and academic professionals set appropriate examples by interacting with students, and each other, in the spirit of hospitality.
